The Smouldering Boulder Freehouse is around 400 years old and re-opened in July 2007 after being completely re-modelled and refurbished. The front & back bars attract a regular clientele of all ages with its very friendly and warm atmosphere. The back bar overlooks the garden through three double sets of glazed French doors and is light and airy. Both bars are comfortable with mood lighting and a contemporary feel.

The Smouldering Boulder is also very popular with the ladies who come in for a glass of wine with or just a cup of tea or coffee.
Real Ales feature Fullers London Pride with other guest ales changing all the time. A selection of premium lagers are also available, along with Guinness & cider. There is also a selection of bottled beers and soft drinks.
There is a large garden with decking for smokers and non smokers alike to sit and enjoy the sunshine and warmer evenings.
The ever popular quiz starts at 8pm every Sunday and there is live music/entertainment every Wednesday evening.

The 1st & 3rd Tuesday of every month are acoustic nights hosted by Jonathan Payne. Bring your voice, or an instrument or just sit back and enjoy the show

The last Tuesday of every month is Live Jazz.
